Iran is a fascinating country and very rewarding for any traveler. People are friendly, generous and hospitable. The Persians are aware that Iran is not associated with many positive things in the West and they really make an effort to prove the traveler otherwise. I can say it worked for me, I was very impressed by Persian culture, their mindset and the high level of education of its people, despite the terrible political situation.

Iran is a sad example of what happens, when there is no separation of religion and state. It demonstrates, that when a government forcefully tries to bring heaven down to earth, it usually ends up creating hell instead.

But despite this hell, the Persian people are keeping their heads up and I hope and pray that they will be able to live in freedom and prosperity soon again, and find back to their old destiny as a great and prosperous nation.
